On Saturday afternoon, the Swarthmore baseball team (7-6) outscored the University of Maine Presque Isle Owls (0-7) by a combined score of 25-1 on route to a doubleheader sweep. The Swarthmore College softball team (6-8) swept the Penn-State Berks Lions 5-3 and 13-5 on Saturday. TCNJ defeated Swarthmore College men’s tennis team 5-4 at the sunny Swarthmore College Avenue Courts on Saturday. On Saturday, the Swarthmore College women’s tennis team (4-2, 2-0 CC) defeated Centennial Conference rival Gettysburg 7-2.

After spending the last week on an eight game road trip in Arizona, the Swarthmore baseball team took the field for the first time at home as they hosted the Immaculata Mighty Macs on Wednesday. But behind aggressive base-running which translated to seven stolen bases, Immaculata spoiled the Garnet’s home opener 9-2 for the first win in Mighty Mac program history.

On Saturday, sophomore Kenyetta Givans earned two gold medals to lead the Swarthmore women’s indoor track team to a seventh place finish at the Centennial Conference Championships. The men’s indoor track team earned eighth place in the Centennial Conference Championships. The men’s lacrosse team (1-0) got its season off to a winning start by defeating Eastern (0-1) 8-2 on Saturday night. The women’s tennis team (2-0) defeated Oberlin College (3-4) at the Mullan Center 8-1 on Sunday.

The Swarthmore College women’s tennis team (1-0) got its season off to a winning start on Saturday by beating NYU (0-3) 5-4 at the Mullan Center. The Swarthmore men’s tennis team (1-1) began its home season by easily dispatching NYU 9-0. On Senior Day at Tarble Pavilion, the Swarthmore College men’s basketball team (7-18, 6-12 CC) fell to Haverford 71-48. On Saturday afternoon, the Swarthmore women’s basketball team (12-13, 9-11 CC) defeated visiting Haverford 63-50.
